What is Unfocused Productions?

Unfocused Productions was created, and is written and maintained by Kyle Brogan, a graphic artist, writer, and filmmaker living in the western United States. Kyle began his writing career in 2001, often working with others on several short stories, films, and web development projects. This is probably why he started this blog.

Kyle originally designed Unfocused Productions as the name of a potential independent film production house, but has moved on to another group. He hopes that he might actually utilize Unfocused as a viable production company in the future. (Kyle is and always has been a dreamer, and it shows a lot in the things that he writes and says.)

The decision to turn Unfocused into a review board and blog came about in September 2007, when Kyle decided to put the name to use. He decided that he would share his thoughts and ideas with the world, and see what might happen. While many of the posts here are dedicated to entertainment and movies, (which is most of his life), Kyle will also occasionally talk about thoughts and ideas that are a little more abstract. But there is always a strong sense of opinion there, and it shows in his writing.

When not writing on Unfocused, Kyle can usually be found working on graphic art projects, writing or shooting a film, attending classes, playing sports, dancing or singing, or even working on his full-contact origami skills. He often plays a little bluegrass cello, and enjoys rearranging furniture. But most often, you can find him watching films over and over again to glean every bit of story and technique from them. But regardless what he’s doing, he’s always trying to have a good time.
